His stats last year were 86% - 27%. Handy formula determines the margin of 0.008. Therefore, we bet Wawrinka + 1.5 set handicap at Pinnacle odds 1.448.

Last 16 players left in the tournament play their matches today. Four of that matches are adequate for our Handy strategy.

TSONGA Jo-Wilfried - FOGNINI Fabio

This is the first clay tournament for Tsonga and his performance last year was outstanding, 86% service games won, 25% receive games won. His opponent Fognini is the clay specialist and his score this year (75% service games won, 30% receive games won) is similar to the last year score 77% - 32%. When our Handy formula calculates, margin for this match is 0.011, so we bet Fognini +1.5 set handicap at Pinnacle for odds 1.313.

ROBREDO Tommy - RAONIC Milos

Robredo has better results this year in service games 83% won, than last year 78%, but he won 24% of receive games this year, less than last year when his score was 30%. FOGNINI Fabio - BAUTISTA AGUT Roberto

Fognini is the clay specialist and his score this year (75% service games won, 30% receive games won) is similar to the last year score 77% - 32%. His opponent plays his first clay tournament this year and his score last year was 72% - 32%. Our Handy formula says that Bautista Agut could be a tough opponent to Fognini's service, giving the margin of 0.031 which is almost on the borderline of acceptance for handicap betting. So, we bet Bautista Agut handicap +1.5 set at Pinnacle odds 1.680.

LLODRA Michael - JANOWICZ Jerzy

Llodra hasn't played many games at the clay last year, just 40 serve games with 80% won, and 38 receive games with 24% won. This is the first match of the year at this surface for both players. Janowicz's performance last year was quite good in service games, won 85%, and not so good in receive games, won just 15%. Feeding our Handy formula with these data, Llodra is the tiny favorite by 0.017, so we bet on Janowicz's handicap +1.5 sets. Pinnacle gives odds 1.308 for that outcome.

YOUZHNY Mikhail - SEPPI Andreas

Neither of these two players have played any game at the clay surface this year. Youzhny won 75% of his service games last year, and won 26% of receive games. Seppi's success in his service game was lower 70%, but the receive game winnings was better, 29%. That makes him a strong opponent to Dimitrov, and our Handy formula says that there is a margin of 0.030, and we bet the Granollers +1.5 set, at the Pinnacle odds 1.84.

MONFILS Gael - ANDERSON Kevin

The hand formula says that this is a very tight game with the margin of 0.004, giving Monfils the favourite title. We'll bet Pinnacle odds 1.645 for Anderson +1.5 set. Monfils hasn't played any clay match this year, and he scored 78% - 29% last year. Anderson played well his 10 service games this year 80%, but badly his 10 receive games 0% won, but his score from last year (84% - 24%) give him a merit to be a strong opponent to Monfils.

CILIC Marin - VERDASCO Fernando

Cilic is the favorite, but the clay specialist is across the net. Verdasco plays much better than last year at clay, scoring 87% - 33%, last year 79% - 23%. Cilic hasn't played yet this year at clay, but his last year score 80% - 29% give him the favorite role as the result of our Handy formula calculation. The margin is 0.029, and we bet Verdasco +1.5 set at Pinnacle odds 1.658.

BERDYCH Thomas - TURSUNOV Dmitry

Berdych is the absolute favourite of the game based on overall performance, but his favorite margin isn't as large as someone could expect. Our Handy formula gives the result of 0.031. The reason for this is that Berdych doesn't play as well at clay as he play at hard surfaces. This is his first match of the year at clay, and his performance last year was 79% - 25%. Against him, he has Tursunov who won his first match of the year two days ago, and his score last year was 76% - 24%. So, expectation is that Berdych won't win easily 2:0, Tursunov will take at least one set, so we bet Tursunov handicap set +1.5 set win at Pinnacle for amazing odds of 3.480.

PAIRE Benoit - MONTANES Albert

Paire's performance on clay this year (75% won serve games - 25% won receive games) is quite simmilar to last year stats (75% - 27%). Montanes plays better his serve games winning 80% of them this year (77% last year), but his winning performance in receive games is worse 21% (24% last year). Combining these data in our Handy formula gives Paire margin of 0.007 which is quite enough for betting Montanes for the handicap +1.5 sets. Pinnacle gives odds of 1.377.

ANDUJAR Pablo - ROGER VASSELIN Edouard

Haase, who prefers the clay surface wins 82% of his serve games this year (76% last year) and 39% of his receive games (25% last year) and shows great improvement in his play. On the other hand Roger Vasselin hasn't played any game this year at the clay, and his performance last year was 77%-24%. Using our Handy formula Andujar is the game favorite with a  margin of 0.030 which is close to the decision to bet or not to bet the handicap. Anyway, the margin is still good, so we bet Roger Vasselin for the handicap 1.5 sets at Pinnacle which gives odds 1.498.

Gulbis hasn't played any match at the clay this year. He also didn't play a lot of games last year, with the score of 78% won serve games and 27% won receive games. On the other hand Dolgopolov, who has slightly worse stats from the last year 75% - 19%, has played this year mathches well, and his stats in 2014 are 86% - 25%. Combining these data in our Handy formula gives Gulbis margin of 0.021 which is quite enough for betting Dolgopolov for the handicap +1.5 sets. Pinnacle gives odds of 1.400.

HAASE Robin - TURSUNOV Dimitry

Haase, who prefers the clay surface is quite close in 2014 stats 77% - 18% to the last year stats 81% - 22%. On the other hand, Tursunov hasn't played a single game this year, but from his last year stats 76% - 24%, he will be a tough opponent for the Haase serve, especially when Haase doesn't serve well as last year. CHARDY Jeremy - SIJSLING Igor

Chardy has improved his return this year to 24% (last year 19%), but he doesn't win his service games like last year, this year 78%, last year 81%. Sijsling has played just 9 service games and 9 receive games this year, so his stats aren't determined yet (56% - 11%). Last year his performance stats were 75% - 25%. Using our Handy formula Chardy is the game favorite but with a tiny margin of 0.026. Therefore, we bet Sijsling for the handicap 1.5 sets at Pinnacle which gives outstanding odds 2.100.
